Bandipora : As part of an ongoing war against misuse of Prescription Drugs by notorious persons on 18/07/2024 Drugs Control Department (DCD) District Bandipora received a specific information about stocking and selling of Allopathic drugs in an Ayurvedic Shop at Pazalpora Bandipora.
Drugs control officer Bandipora takes Swift action and raided the said Ayurvedic Shop today at 5:30PM run by one person namely Abdul Majeed Rather , S/ o: Gh. Qadir R/o: Pazalpora under name and style M/s Rather Herbal Home. During search in the said shop, Ayurvedic drugs along with Allopathic drugs were also found stocked on the shelves of the premises. Drugs like Piroxicam injections, few strips of Pregabaline containing preparations, few insulin syringes were found stocked in the said premises. On spot Notice was served to the said person and the shop was sealed/ closed on spot.
Further investigation is going on under the provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and Rules thereunder. The Drugs Control Department of District Bandipora has zero tolerance against those who will be found running unlicensed Medical shops and violators will not be spared any more. Drugs Control Department, directed all the Distributors to check the retail sale drug licence before distributing Medicines and keep yourself away from such acts. Any violation of Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and Rules thereunder will lead to the suspension/cancellation of the drug licence.
