GANDERBAL, JULY 24: In order to assess public issues and to ensure the grievance redressal mechanism at every level, District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a day long public outreach camp at far flung area of Waliwar, Ganderbal where he listened to the public grievances.
The camp was attended by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, ADDC, Shafqat Iqbal, ADC, Showkat, CEO, Executive engineers PHE and R&B besides other officers of the district and marked the participation of huge number of people of the adjoining areas.
The redressal camp witnessed enthusiastic participation of people of the areas who apprised the DDC about various issues relating to macadamization of roads, electricity, staff dearth in schools, up-gradation of High School, healthcare facilities, up-gradation and repairs of shrine, scarcity of drinking water, land compensation under PMGSY, construction of Patwari Halqa, revenue village status to Waliwar, awareness camps on Horticulture and Agriculture related schemes, wildlife post and other demands of public importance.
On the occasion, the DDC gave a patient hearing to the issues projected during the camp and passed on spot directions to the concerned officials.
DDC asked the accompanying officers to work in coordinating and proactive approach towards resolving the issues of people living in such tough remotest parts of the district.
He also urged the Sarpanches to start a massive sanitation drive in the area taking help of local people besides asked the local populace to abstain from littering the garbage and plastic in the surrounding.
He directed the officials to frame calendar in coordination with the line departments to make the general public aware about state and centrally sponsored schemes by taking the Panches and Sarpanches on board.
He said persistent efforts are afoot to accelerate the pace of development in the district to provide people all basic facilities especially living in far-flung areas to make their lives more comfortable.
