GANDERBAL, MAY 15: In order to provide governance at the door steps and to ensure the grievance redressal mechanism at every level, District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a day long public outreach camp at Gund, Kangan where he listened to the public grievances.
The camp was attended by ADDC, Shafqat Iqbal, SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, SDM Kangan, CEO, CMO, Executive engineers of R&B, PHE and PMGSY besides other officers of the district and marked the participation of huge number of people of the adjoining areas.
During the camps, DDC interacted with the public and heard their grievances and redressed numerous issues on the spot and directed the concerned officials to resolve the other public issues on priority basis.
The public representatives on the occasion apprised the DDC about various issues relating to macadamization of roads, electricity, staff dearth in schools, healthcare facilities, play fields and other demands of public importance.
Moreover, other demands that were raised during the camp includes Rest House at Gund, Degree College , upgradation of Receiving Station of Sumbal, High School infrastructure upgradation at Surfraw, streets lights at Gund market, upgradation of Middle School at Fraw Haqnar, Health Sub-Centre for Ramwari, fencing of power Canal, etc.
Responding to the demands of the locals, the DDC instructed the CEO to ensure availability of sufficient staff in schools and directed the concerned for safety audit of Power Canal. He also instructed the concerned to ensure quick response to genuine issues and directed them to maintain close liaison with the local population so that their grievances are redressed at an earliest.
