February 18:- DDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, yesterday evening took an extensive tour of Ganderbal and Kangan towns to take stock of healthcare facilities being provided to patients at District Hospital, Ganderbal, Sub District Hospital, Kangan, and PHC Lar. The DDC inspected various wards including OPD, emergency, vaccine and injection section, Gynae and Post operative wards at these health centers, besides met various patients and enquired about healthcare facilities being provided to them.
He also took on spot stock of the availability of medicines, vaccines, and other drug items for the patients. The concerned briefed the DDC about the availability of medicines, vaccines and healthcare facilities being provided to the patients. After interacting with the officials, he laid emphasis on punctuality and implementation of duty roaster by doctors and para-medical staff in letter and spirit, especially during night hours. He also exhorted for ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation to provide better health services to the locals in all health centers of the district. DDC also appealed general public of the district to bring grievances pertaining to any department into the notice of district administration for prompt redressal.
