Ganderbal, March 2, 2018:—District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla and Vice-Chancellor CUK today reviewed the progress of shifting of Central University of Kashmir campus in Ganderbal, besides other developmental works relating to varsity at an officers meeting held here at Mini Secretariat Complex, Ganderbal.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues relating to the shifting of VC and other offices to Ganderbal.
The meeting was also attended by Registrar CUK, ADDC Ganderbal, ADC Ganderbal and other concerned.
On the occasion the Vice-Chancellor informed that the old Physical College building handed over to CUK at Ganderbal is already functional and some skill specific courses have been started. He said that the construction work of some buildings has been undertaken by the engineering wing of CUK which are also expected to be completed within the fixed timeline.
The DDC directed the concerned Engineers to speed up the developmental tempo and ensure that all the construction works should be completed within stipulated timeline. It is pertinent to mention here that DDC Ganderbal along with his team of officers is working on identifying the transit buildings where the CUK campus can be facilitated for its further functioning in the District Ganderbal.
