KUPWARA, DECEMBER 03: The District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jehangir today convened a meeting of engineers of PDD and other wings to review the status of ongoing development works carried out by the department to improve the power supply to the people of the district.
On the occasion, the DDC inquired about the availability, demand and supply position of power, he was informed by the concerned officials that two receiving stations at Kralpora and Ganapora are nearing to completion which would further augment the existing infrastructure in the district. The meeting was informed that 50 electric poles are being supplied in each village for changing the damaged wooden poles. It was given out that Kralpora, Drugmulla transformers are being upgraded, the buffer stock of transformers are being arranged besides Machil and Keran lines are being completed this month.
The DDC impressed upon the authorities to provide power supply to the people as per the schedule. He stressed for arranging buffer stock of transformers and timely completion of upgradation works of receiving stations within a stipulated time and taking measures to complete the Kralpora-Ganapora receiving stations on top priority.
