February 14:-Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today paid a surprise visit to the district hospital Ganderbal to take stock of the quality of health services and care provided to the patients there.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Xen R&B, Tehsildar Ganderbal, other concerned officers.During the visit, DC inspected various sections including emergency, ECG unit, OPD and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients.
DC directed Medical Superintendent, Ganderbal to follow roaster strictly and ensure punctuality of Medical-cum-Paramedical staff in the hospital round o clock.While interacting with the patients, DC enquired about their health conditions. He also inquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostic and other facilities available in the hospital.
Later DC also visited Bus Adda, Ganderbal, which is under construction under the executing agency R&B, and reviewed the feasibility of alternative road from bus yard to District Hospital road.In order to decongest traffic in Ganderbal main town especially on Beehama-Duderhama road, DC inspected the alternate road which will connect the newly bus yard with District Hospital road.
While visiting the bus yard, DC reviewed the facilities for the commuters there and directed the Xen R&B to macadamize the bus adda, and to construct two Passenger Sheds there at an earliest
