Bandipora,15 Nov【KNZ】:Government Girls Higher Secondary school today held a ceremony to release the first ever issue of the school prospectus in the school campus.The ceremony was kick started by Shri Sajad Hussain, District Development Commissioner Bandipora in presence of Chief Education Officer Munshi javid ahmad,Zonal Education officer Bandipora Mohammad sharif lone,Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipora Wali Mohammad wani,Samreen Nabi Librarian(District Library Bandipora) Mohammad Yousuf Malla(Ex-principal)& Mohammad Rafiq Parrey,Principal GGHSS Bandipora besudes large gathering of students.
The school prospectus is the first of its kind and its conception and subsequent release is an attempt to go beyond the dreary ways of seeking admission in various courses. The school will issue the prospectus along with the application form for admission for the coming session. The cover page of the prospectus has a profound message from the Principal of the school, Mohd. Rafiq Parray which is followed by the School Anthem, composed by Nuzhat Fatima. The Preamble of the school is the brainchild of Malik Nazir, faculty member of the school and it can be seen coming to life while going through the mission and the vision of the school. The prospectus provides detailed information about the possible coursesstream combinations and the faculty of the school; the purpose of which is to ensure easy decision making for the students who intend on taking various courses in the school.
Besides that, the prospectus also contains important guidelines and general information for the students seeking admission in the school. Information about diverse co-curricular activities taken up in the school and various accomplishments by previous students are also highlighted to make the incoming students understand the functioning of the institute properly.
All the dignitaries present at the occasion, appreciated the idea and congratulated the Principal and the faculty of the school for such an innovative initiative.”It will set a new trend for other Govt schools of the district and it is an important step in our effort to bring Govt schools at par with private schools of the valley”,said the DDC, Sajad Hussain.Moreover,he appreciated the way students highlighted their problems with a skit performance and assures his best help and support in future.The school committee that was set for its release and trained the students for the event includes Ishtiyaq Hussain samoon who also discharged the duty of Dias incharge,Mohammad Amin, Malik Nazir Ahmad & Javid Ahmad Mir.
The Financial assistance for the publication of the prospectus was provided by the business fraternity of Bandipora Viz; The Hangout cafe grills and restaurant,Jan & Associates (A legal consultancy) Aziz cycle works, Rayees electronics, Ali’s sports Academy and Rehmat jewellers and garments and support of Daily English Newspaper Kashmir Convener.
