Srinagar, Dec 1, KNT: The voters’ slip has been issued to dead man in ward 46 Islam Yarbal in Eidgah Constituency for the polling in Srinagar.
The man has died more than five years back, but still he has found his placein the revised voters’ list, while at the same time many alive residents’ name got omitted from the list.
While displaying the voter list, the locals told news agency KNT that Muhammad Lateef Khan from Islam Yarbal ward has died some five years ago but his name still figure in the voter list.
They said there are dozens of people from the same ward who are alive but their names are missing from the voter list.
Sources said that the revised voters’ list, which was prepared after spending crores, is again full of anomalies, leaving a lot of scope for fake voting. (KNT)
