GANDERBAL, APRIL 02: District Election Officer Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a meeting with all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the district here at Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
ADDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, AROs, ERO’s, AERO’s, Dy DEO, DSWO besides all BLOs of the district were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the BLOs were sensitized about their election responsibilities such as AMF at their respective Polling Booths, EPIC Distribution, voter assistance booth (help desk), signage’s at Polling Booths, communication network near Polling Booths besides arrangements for polling parties.
To generate awareness among voters, the DEO stressed upon the BLOs to go door to door for educating voters under SVEEP initiative and work to ensure maximum electoral participation in their respective areas.
While Complementing the BLOs for their performance in Special Summary Revision, the DEO asked them to ensure hundred percent EPIC distribution of newly registered voters and photo voter slips at an earliest. Further they were asked to submit report regarding number of Radio sets and DTH Dishes available in their respective areas.
While enquiring about availability of Assured Minimum Facilities at their respective Polling Booths, the DEO took detailed report from all the BLOs and said any deficiency should be brought into the notice immediately.
Later, interaction session was held during which BLOs raised several queries regarding their role and responsibilities during election.
The DEO urged the BLOs to work in coordination and cooperation and remain proactive for successful completion of upcoming elections. Later, DEO along with ADDC distributed BLO kits among all the BLO’s of the District.
