DMO Appealed general public to extend all possible cooperation to the department

Ganderbal 10 Dec (KNZ): In a bid to prevent illegal mining, the Department of Geology and Mining on Saturday started a drive against illegal miners by disconnecting the road leading to Nallah Sindh in Ganderbal District.
An official said,on the Direction of District Mining Officer Majid Aziz Bhat, a team of Geology and Mining Department cut down several roads at Nunner,Tikbagh,Baba Mohalla,Yenhama,Malpora,Wahidpor, Bobispora,Arch,Gangerhama and adjoining areas to stop illegal Mining.
District Mining officer Majid Aziz Bhat has asked all those associated with mining activities to abide by the rules and take necessary permissions before doing any type of mining activity like excavation, transportation and dumping of minor minerals.
He also said the department is putting every effort to stop illegal mining activities and such drives will continue in other places as well.
He also requested the general public to extend all possible cooperation to the department.KNZ
