Department cut down roads inside Nallah to stop illegal mining:DMO Ganderbal

Ganderbal 31 August (KNZ): Illegal Mining is allegedly going on unabated in various areas of Ganderbal in Nallah Sindh during day and night hours.
Locals from different areas alleged that mining is on at Nallah Sindh during the monsoon season which is in defiance of the mining regulations.
Locals allege there is gross violation of the norms and defiance of the norms is coming at a heavy cost for the environment.
Under the specific and standard guidelines issued by the SEIAA, mining cannot be done in the Monsoon Season.
Sources said dozens tippers and tractors seen various locations in Ganderbal on roads with illegal load.
When Contacted DMO Ganderbal Majid Aziz Bhat he said Geology Mining department employees cut down roads inside Nallah Sindh at several places to stop illegal Mining.KNZ
