Srinagar, March 30 (GNS): The number of COVID-19 cases rose to 33 in Kashmir as four more persons have tested positive for the disease in Valley on Monday.
Official sources told GNS that a number of test reports were received today, confirming four positive cases. Two each are admitted in JLNM and Pulwama hospitals, they said.
Two among them are residents of Shopian district in south Kashmir and have travel history to Indonesia.
The duo aged 26 and 40 years had also shared a sumo vehicle on way to home from Jammu to Srinagar with a COVID-19 patient from Bemina Srinagar, they said.
With the confirmation of the four fresh cases, the number of COVID-19 patients has gone up to 33 in Kashmir and 45 in entire Jammu and Kashmir.
“Four more cases detected positive in Kasmir. 2 each from Shopian and Srinagar. All contacts of previous positive cases. Contact tracing working on ground”, Principal Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, Rohit Kansal, had said in a tweet.
Earlier three fresh cases were reported in Jammu division. (GNS)
