BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 16: District Industries Center Bandipora on Monday organized a day-long online training programme for registration of MSME units on GeM portal to the unit holders of Bandipora.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue who also holds ther charge of General Manager Reyaz Ahmad Beigh was the chief guest on the occasion while Project Manager DIC Bandipora Mir Mehraj-ud-Din, Parveiz Ahmad, Sales Tax Officer, representatives of various banks besides industrial unit holders were also present during the training programme aimed to facilitate MSME unit holders with ample opportunities of national market.
On the occasion ACR Bandipora stressed upon the unit holders to register them on GeM portal which would help them sell their products on a bigger platform at national level. He appreciated the initiative taken up by District Industries Centre to acquaint their unit holders with latest market challenges.
He said the GEM facilitates online procurement of common use Goods & Services required by various Government Departments / Organisations / PSUs and aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and speed in public procurement. He said GEM provides the tools of e-bidding, reverse e-auction and demand aggregation to facilitate the government users, achieve the best value for their money.
General Manager DIC Mir Mehraj-ud-Din said that objective to conduct this training is to apprise the unit holders about various schemes, importance of GeM registration, UDYAM and TREADS registration.
He said the training programme, initiated by Government e-Market place (GeM), Union Ministry of Commerce, is aimed to facilitate MSME unit holders of J&K with ample opportunities of national market.
Business facilitator GeM (J&K) gave a detailed presentation about registration of MSME unit holders on GeM portal. While explaining the advantages of GeM portal, trainers said that efficacy, transparency and economy are its basic foundation adding that unit holders get an opportunity for single window procuring of all general goods & services, simplified process, real time and historical data, decision making and policy feedback besides prudence in budget management, faster account settlement with timely payment to service provider, better price discovery and generation of auditory.
