Ganderbal, January 11, 2021: – A meeting of members of Traffic Management & Road Safety, district officers was convened here today to discuss the formulation and implementation of traffic management plan in district.
The meeting was convened in order to make travelling on the roads safe and secure besides reducing the jamming in the district.
During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba expressed serious concern over the jamming in the district and directed the concerned departments to remain vigilant and take action against traffic violations.
He also asked the concerned to install the sign boards to display safety measures of roads and rates for the transport plying through all routes in the district.
The ADC directed the ARTO to organize awareness camps on ‘Road safety’ as well as on ‘Traffic rules and Regulations’ for generating awareness among the people.
The ADC also directed Executive Officer Municipal Committee Ganderbal to demolish encroachments in the District.
Among others, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Ganderbal, ASP, Dy. Superintendent of Traffic Police, Executive Officer Municipality, Ex. Engineer R&B, and other officers also attended the meeting
