GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 15: The District Administration Ganderbal today conducted mega Block Diwas at Mammar with the purpose to listen to the grievances of people at their door steps and to ensure immediate redressal of the same.
The camp was presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani along with SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather.
The camp witnessed overwhelming participation of PRI members and prominent citizens of Kangan block who highlighted the issues and demands pertaining to their areas including development of roads, Panchayat building at Mammar, augmentation of water supply scheme, and other issues of public importance.
The ADDC gave necessary instructions to the officers for ensuring timely redressal of the genuine concerns of the locals and several issues were also redressed on spot.
Meanwhile, various departments like Agriculture, Health, Sheep Husbandry, J&K Bank and others apprised the participants about the beneficiary oriented and self-employment schemes available and were urged to take benefit of such schemes as per eligibility, aimed to improve socio-economic condition of people.
The event was attended by BDC Chairperson Kangan, Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildar Ganderbal, CMO, District Social Welfare Officer and BDO Kangan besides other district and sectoral officers.
