Ganderbal 15 Mar (KNZ):Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal organized a Chinar Day under ‘Green J&K Drive’ at Dugpora Nursery in Ganderbal
The Chinar plantation drive was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole by planting Chinar sapling in the Dugpora Nursery
Divisional commissioner Kashmir P K Pole said that the Department would Chinar saplings at different schools and Government institutions free of cost to help improve green cover in the JK
He said the such plantation drives will be launched in every Govt institutions and buildings under the theme of ‘Har Gaon Haryali’
Afforestration through Plantation drive is crucial to maintain ecological balance and increase Green cover,he added.
The school children of various local schools also participated in the drive
Divisional commissioner Kashmir among PCCF JK Dr Mohit Gera,DFO’s and other forest employees present on the occasion.KNZ
