GANDERBAL, APRIL 20: In View of surge in COVID-19 cases and to further strengthen COVID containment measures in the district, District Magistrate Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today issued an order for imposing night corona curfew (10.00 pm to 6.00 am) at the night within the Muncipal limits of the district w.e.f 20 April 2021.
The order further reads that the Public transport (matadors, mini-buses, buses etc) shall be permitted only at 50 percent of its authorized seating capacity effect from 21 April 2021 and the Senior Superintendent of police, Ganderbal shall compliance to this effect.
She also orders for putting 50% restrictions on opening of shops at market places, bazaars and malls within muncipal limits of District on alternative basis through a rotation system w.e.f 21 April 2021. Additional Deputy Commissioner and Executive Officer, Muncipal Council Ganderbal shall devise a pattern to implement the order.
The order further reads that any violation of this order by any person Shall invite punitive punishment under the relevant law.
