Srinagar, Apr 07 (GNS): The District Magistrate Shopian on Sunday ordered for annual opening Mughal road from tomorrow onwards in the backdrop of clearance of snow accumulation and landslides from the thoroughfare.
“In view of clearance of snow accumulation and landslides from KM 19 (Dogrian) to KM 43 (Peer Ki Gali) as intimated by Chief Engineer, Mughal Road Wing and Executive Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Division, Rajouri-Poonch, the movement of one-way traffic is hereby allowed on Mughal Road from Bufffliaz to Peer Ki Gali w.e.f 08-04-2024,” reads an order, a copy of which lies with GNS.
“Furthermore, Sr. Superintendent of Police Poonch, Sub Divisional Magistrate Surankote and DySP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch shall deploy sufficient personnel at Behramgalla, Bufffliaz and Poshana Checkposts to ensure smooth movement of vehicles with strict compliance of this order,” it reads further.
