Ganderbal(Kangan) 19 Feb (KNZ): Doctor in Kangan seem to be ignoring Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Ayushedi Pariyojana Kendra (PMBJP) which are placed in every goverment hospital.
Sources told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that drugs are available at affordable cost in Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Ayushadi Pariyojana Kendra (PMBJP) in the hospital.Despite that doctors prescribe medicine to patients which are costly and avialible at private drug stores.
Sources also told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Ayushadi Pariyojana Kendra (PMBJP) were setup for Patients espically poor to get affordable generic medicine but Doctors are sidelining it.
As per sources that the Malik agency which supplies drugs to the Bhartiya Jan Ayushadi Pariyojana Kendra often supplies drugs to the kendra delibrated very late which results the shortage of drugs in kendra store.
A patient told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ, a doctor told me not to use medicine avialible in the Kendra as it is not of good quality.I was compelled to buy medicine at high cost at private drugs store.
When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ contacted Dr Salma MS Trauma hospital Kangan said ,”I have issued a circular to prescribe generic drugs.Those who wouldn’t follow would be taken to task.Audit of prescriptions is also going to take place which will ensure transparency.”KNZ
