Gund: A tractor driver was Killed and another suffered injuries in a road accident in Gund Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District on Tuesday evening.
Officials said that the tractor on way from Gagangir to Fraw turned turtle near Hanfia Jamia Masjid Shareef Gund in the jurisdiction of Police Station Gund resulting in death of the driver and injuries to other person.
Eyewitnesses said that locals immediately rushed to the spot and rushed the injured persons to nearby hospital for treatment where doctors declared Tractor driver dead after sometime.
The deceased was identified as 22year old Rayaz Ahmad Bhat son of Manzoor Ahmed Bhat a resident of Fraw Gund.
The injured person has been identified as 28year Mazaffar Ahmed Lone son of Ghulam Mohi u Din Lone a resident of Gund referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.
A police official said that a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations is going on
