Ganderbal June 04: Police in its recent action against drug dealings in Ganderbal has arrested one drug peddler and seized contraband substance from his possession.
Based on specific information, a Police party from Police Station Ganderbal along with the Executive Magistrate raided the house of one individual namely Abdul Ahad Bhat Son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat resident of Ganderbal where they recovered 1.3 kilograms of Charas and cash of ₹ 3,42,800/-. The drug peddler was arrested, besides contraband substance/cash was seized and sealed in presence of Executive Magistrate.
In this regard, a case FIR No 123/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
