Ganderbal: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society and taking stringent action against the Drug Peddlers. On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Ganderbal Police has launched massive hunt against Narcotic Peddling in the District.
Today, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Lar, Police Party led by SHO Gulzar Ahmad laid a special Naka at Baboosipora Bridge. During search, one Vehicle Eco Sports bearing Regd. No. 7181/JK01AG was intercepted and during preliminary questioning, Contraband Substance, 300 grams of Charas was recovered from one person namely Tariq Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohammad Jamal Bhat R/O Baboosipora Ganderbal.
The accused was arrested and Contraband Substance was seized on the spot.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 21/2022, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at PS Lar and further investigation has been taken up.
General public is requested to co-operate with Ganderbal Police by way of sharing inputs related to Drug peddling so that culprits could be curbed effectively under law.
