Ganderbal :Operation Drugs Free Ganderbal Continues.
In continuation to war against Drugs,Ganderbal Police apprehended one more person alongwith huge consignment of Psychotropic Substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Safapora.
On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS under the supervision of Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS Hqr’s Ganderbal, a routine Naka was laid at Kulpora road near crossing by the Police Party of PS Safapora led by SHO SI Gulzar Hussain.
One person coming from Sumbal towards Safapora, after seeing naka party tried to flee away, however the said person was apprehended tactfully by the naka party and during his personal search, Psychotropic Substance 100 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from his possession which was seized on the spot & the accused was arrested.
During preliminary questioning, the accused revealed his identity as Feroz Ahmad Khanday S/O Gh Mohd Khanday R/O Qamarwari Bund A/P Shalteng, Srinagar.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 06/2024, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Safapora & further investigation taken up.
