Shopian, Jan 18 : District Police Shopian arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Post Keegam. Police along with CRPF 14th Bn launched a search operation at village Daramdoora Keegam.
During the search operation two Nylon bags containing contraband substance weighing 16.700 Kgs charas was recovered from residential house of Imtiyaz Ahmad Hurra S/o Bashir Ahmad Hurra R/o Daramdoora Keegam.
Accordingly the accused person was arrested and a case, FIR No. 06/2025 under relevant Sections of the NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Shopian.
Further investigation is underway to unearth the forward and backward linkages of the arrested individual.
