February 21: Police in Sopore today arrested one person following an action against those involved in drug peddling.
One person identified as Abdul Rashid Mir son of Sona-ul-lah Mir resident of Soin Sadnar Rafiabad was arrested for the drug offences and has been taken to Police station Dangiwacha where he remains in custody.
120 grams of charas was seized from his possession by the officers.
Case FIR No 15/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Dangiwacha and investigation has been taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
