School Education Department Tuesday ordered change in school timing in Kashmir valley from 1st November. According to the order, issued by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) bearing order number 1330 DSEK of 2017 dated 30-10-2018, the timings for all government and recognized private schools falling within the Srinagar municipal limits shall be from 10 am to 3 pm. However the schools falling outside Municipal limits of Srinagar shall remain functional from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, the order reads. The government asked all the head of the government as well as recognized private schools to ensure that the orders of the school timing is followed in letter and spirit. “Any deviation in this regard shall be viewed seriously,” the order reads.
