Ganderbal August 26:District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla convened District officers meeting and finalized Eid-ul-Azha arrangement, here today.
Among others SSP Ganderbal, Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Additional Deputy Commissioner, SDM Kangan, District Officers of various sectors, All imams of Jamia Masjids of the town besides representatives of Beopar Mandal Ganderbal attended.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding availability of Qurbani animals, being sold to people from different spots identified by District Administration leaving main and link roads free for traffic. It was decided that sheep husbandry department would deploy teams of veterinary doctors to ensure heath of such animals entering into the town. As many as 3,000 poultry birds and fish be sold to people through mobile vans either on ensuing Thursday or Friday prior to Eid.
Ganderbal Municipal Committee was sensitized to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of main places of Eid Congregation, Jamia Masjids, roads and link roads of the town. Committee was instructed to maintain cleanliness of trote Nallah flowing within the town on war footing.
Market Checking squads were sensitized to ensure availability of essential in market and keep rates under control. At this occasion representation of Beopar Mandal announced 2 to 5% rebate on sale of different commodities in honor of Eid-ul-Azha.
There is sufficient quota of ration and other essential Commodities available for distribution, the meeting was informed
DDC impressed upon engineers/officers of PHE, PDD, health, and transport to ensure their services to the satisfaction of consumers. Further foolproof security arrangements were also finalized.
Tehsildar of the District were instructed to convene similar meetings at their level and finalize Eid arrangements.
