Doda Sep 02:Eid-ul- Azha was celebrated with full religious fervor and gaiety across the Chenab region where thousands of Muslims thronging different Eidgahs and Jama Masjids to offer special Eid prayers on the occasion.
In Doda, the biggest congregation was held at Eidgah, Eidgah road where thousands of Muslims drawn from different parts of city and outskirts offered the Eid Namaz in the morning at 10 am here on Saturday. Lakhs of animals, including sheeps and goats were sacrificed immediately after Eid prayers.
The Eid programme was started with the recitation of Holy Quran and there-after Naats presented by the different participants. Eid Namaz was offered by Imam Jamia Masjid Doda Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy and he also feliciated all the Muslims on the eve of eid. Imam alao prayed for peace, development and prosperity of the state and the country. He expressed the hope that while celebrating Eid, people will not forget the needy and share happiness with them. He also prayed for speedy normalization of situation in trouble-torn Kashmir valley and return of peace prosperity and brotherhood.
Journalist Association Doda also geerted the wishes to people including Syed Reyaz Indrabi, Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev, Faiz Pampori, Naseer Khora, Abid Hussain Wani, Saidullah Rangrez, Abid Pampori, Umar Shahzad, Arpan Kumar, Ranjit Thakur, Akashdeep, Feroz, Asgar Butt & Ishaq Arif
Eid congregation was also held in all cities, towns and villages including Doda, Ghat, Marmat, Bhaderwah, Thathri, Gandoh, Assar, Bhagwah, Dessa and others places.
