Sopore, Oct 16 (KS) : The Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district is all set to welcome a new addition to its infrastructure: an open-air gym.
Sources informed News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the necessary fitness equipment for the gym has been received and will soon be installed for the public to utilize.
They said the equipment would be installed within days after the improvement of weather conditions.
The location of the open-air gym is in the Ashpeer area of Sopore, the sources added.
Masrat Rasool Kar, the President of the Municipal Council (MC), also confirmed this development to News Agency Kashmir Scroll and expressed her commitment to the well-being of the community, stating that her dedication to their welfare is paramount.
She said that open-air gyms have been installed in various cities across the country and provide a good facility to the people particularly the fitness enthusiasts near their homes in an open and natural environment with fresh air around.
She also hinted at forthcoming surprises and initiatives that aim to benefit the people of Sopore. While focusing on overall development, the MC President emphasized that working for the welfare of the citizens remains her top priority. (KS)
