MLA Langate Er Rasheed on Sunday interacted with more than a dozen deputations hailing from different walks of life in Rajouri.
The spokesman has quoted Er Rasheed saying “The Muslims all over India and in Jammu & Kashmir reject the senseless debates on TV Channels which are aimed at proving Muslims radical.”
He said that Parliament has no right to interfere into religious affairs and for every Muslim Sharia is Supreme. We believe in religious tolerance and communal harmony and respect all religions. Congress has followed footprints of BJP by not opposing the bill in Lok Sabha and has proved yet again that Congress is no way different than any other communal party.
Er, Rasheed while addressing the gathering reiterated that it is Ulmah (Religious Clerks) who can interpret Islamic laws and guide Muslims and not any parliament or Supreme Court. He appealed for a self-introspection within Muslims themselves, so that no one gets a chance to defame the religion or interfere in religious affairs.
