Srinagar, Jul 19 (GNS): Police on Tuesday said to have arrested a female fraudster in Chogal Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
“A complaint was received by Police Post Chogal wherein the complainant had stated that one person (name withheld) resident of Yunsoo had taken money from the complainant in lieu of providing a heavily fabricated order of appointment as SPO, thereby defrauding the complainant”, reads a statement received by GNS.
“Based on this, FIR No.199/22 U/s 420, 468-IPC was registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation was initiated”, the statement reads adding the accused has been arrested.
“Further investigation is underway”, concludes the statement. (GNS)
