Bandipora: Five militants were killed in a gunfight with government forces raged in Chadergeera area of Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday, army said.
“Five terrorists were killed so far in the operation which is underway,” defence PRO Col Rajesh kalia told .
Sources said that two army soldiers also were injured during the gunfight.
Earlier, on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area Army of 13rr and police jointly cordon off Chandergeera Hajin.
As forces launched the search operation militants hiding in the house fired upon the forces triggered encounter with forces.
