Ganderbal: Two School buses, bearing same registration number plates, were seized and their drivers detained for questioning in Ganderbal.
This is the second such incident in the past few months.
Officials taking action against same incident seized two cabs of same colour and same number from the Jammu bus stand, in July this year.
The two School buses with the same registration number, JK01K 1580, carrying students in Ganderbal were seized in a special drive carried out by Traffic Police Ganderbal headed by DYSP Traffic Gulzar Ahmad.
DYSP while confirming this to VON said “we have seized two vehicles with same colour and same number plates from a renowned Pvt school in Ganderbal and handed over to police for further action in Aug this year”.
He confirmed that both vehicles were having High Security Registration Plate with Colour Sticker and were used by a reputed Pvt school in Ganderbal.
Sources said that an FIR 223/2024 has been already lodged in this regard and investigation is on.
Meanwhile locals have appreciated the efforts of Traffic Police Ganderbal especially DySP who is carrying special drives on daily basis to curb such violations in District.VO
