Bandipora Sep 8 :Government forces on Friday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation in Chaliwan locality of Chithibandey village of Bandipora district in north Kashmir.
An official said that joint team of Army’s 13 RR stationed at Aragam and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police launched the operation in the village.
“On specific inputs about presence of militants, forces have cordoned off the village and search will be conducted in some residential houses,” he said.
