Anantnag, Oct 16 (GNS): Forest Department authorities Saturday sealed several bandsaw units (Rinda machine) in Verinag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District.
Block Forest Officer Ghulam Nabi Kalam told GNS that at least seven planer machines were sealed at different locations in Verinag after directions were received in this regard from DFO Anantnag.
“The sealed bandsaw units were operating illegally adjacent to forest range, attracting the necessary action, the official said, adding the operation will continue in future as well.”(GNS)
