The senior political leader and activist of Ganderbal, Sheikh GA Saloora has extended his cordial congratulations to Shah Aijaz and all his colleagues for framing a much needed Media union in Ganderbal.
Saloora said media is the most important institution but in the current times it has lost its importance and glory due to the enterance of non professional and uneducated people who in the greed of money and fame fall prey to corruption and yellow journalism. So “at this point of time, we need men with professional ethics and moral character to come forward and serve the sincere cause of Journalism. I cordially congratulate the elected president Mr. Shah Aijaz Ahmad, Secretary Sabiq Ali, Treasurer Mukhtar Shah, Advisor Salim Wani and all the team members and am hopeful that these people are efficiently working for the betterment of all the sections of the society”.
Saloora said he is hopeful that this group of media men will work to the best of their capabilities in highlighting the core issues of public and will also give good coverage to all the developmental achievements of govt. and private institutions, besides raising the voice of unheard and downtrodden. He said there might be other media groups working in and around the district but he is delighted to see the formation of Ganderbal Media Guild which as per its ethical bylaws and sincerity, will prove to be the best reflecters of the social issues.
Saloora also extended his best wishes and good luck to the functioning of the Media Guild.
