Anantnag, 01May : People of Anantnag and adjoining areas allege that there is shortage of fresh vegetables and fruits in the market as the ashajipora Fruit Mandi Merchants had shut down the operation from Last three days.
Sources said that an order was served to Ashajipora fruit Mandi Merchants to shift their shops to newly constructed Mandi at Batango Anantnag, and the matter is pending from Last many years. During the recent #Lockdown an order was served to Tehsildar from DLSA to shift the market to Batangoo Mandi, which belongs to a highly influential Person of Anantnag.
Fruit merchants denied the order resulting the closure of Fruit Mandi ashajipora, due to which there is shortage of Fresh vegetables and fruits in the market. People of Anantnag and adjoining areas are demanding for the revocation of order immediately otherwise there will be a news issue , which will be difficult to tackle by the Government.
