GANDERBAL, JANUARY 23: Colorful and vibrant full dress rehearsal was conducted at Qamaria Ground Ganderbal in view of the Republic-Day Celebrations, 2021 which was presided over by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba.
On the occasion, the ADC unfurled the tricolor, took the salute at the march-past, inspected the parade and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue.
The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, Home Guard, school children besides, colorful cultural items and theme based skits as a part of the full-dress rehearsal were presented by well-known local artists and school children.
The ADC interacted with contingents and appreciated their preparations for the event.
While addressing the gathering ADC memorized the supreme sacrifices laid down by our freedom fighters and their contributions in freedom struggle. He also highlighted the various developmental activities registered by different departments in the district and achievement under different welfare schemes during the current financial year.
It is an endeavor of the district administration to facilitate all- round and equal development of all blocks in the district, he added.
He also highlighted the mitigation efforts put forth by the district administration with regard to containment of COVID-19 pandemic in the district and complemented all frontline workers for their tireless efforts during pandemic.
The event was witnessed by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, ACR Ganderbal, DYSP Headquarter besides various other civil and police officers.
