Ganderbal 15 May【KNZ】: The Patwaris association in district Ganderbal on tuesday staged strike to press for resolution of their long pending demands.
They are demanding Grade pay of 2800 Graduate patwaris,Timely DPC of patwaris and GQ’s,Creation of GQ circles and patwaris,Ban on direct requirement of Naib Tehsildar,Enhancement of allowance for patwaris and GQ’s,Rent of Patwari Khanas,Construction of Patwar khana,Meeting halls/Offices for patwari association
District President of the Association Sofi Mehraj said that all members of the Association will support the pen down strike call by the All J&K Patwar Association and remain on strike. Sofi demanded that the government should address the issues being faced by the Patwaris
Malik Showkat executive member (AJKPA) of the association said that Patwari is the only official who has no office to sit in or no government locker to keep official records.
Meanwhile, Due to the strike, the revenue- allied work remained affected in all Tehsils across the district.KNZ
