Ganderbal:In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested a Drug Peddler and Seized Contraband Substance.
Police Station Ganderbal received information through reliable sources that one person namely Nazir Ahmad Khan S/O Ghulam Ahmad Khan R/O Khan Mohalla Arhama has concealed contraband at his residential home located at Arhama.
Upon the receipt of the information, Ganderbal Police constituted a special Police team who along with Executive Magistrate 1st Class raided the residential house of the accused. During search, Contraband Substance 2 Kg and 900 Grams of Bhang was recovered, seized and the accused was arrested on the spot.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 294/2024, under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up.
Ganderbal Police requests general public to share information regarding drug Peddling in the area and we assure complete anonymity of the informer.
