Ganderbal 28 April:Ganderbal Police have solved a burglary case and arrested three accused persons involved in the crime.
Stolen electrical appliances worth Rs 322000/- including mobile phones,torches,induction-heaters,USB cables,powerbanks,I pods, pendrives, LED bulbs, airphones, data cables, hair trimmers etc were also recovered on their disclosure.
On 24th April, Police Station Ganderbal received a complaint from Sahil Manzoor Baba regarding burglary in his electronic shop during the intervening night of 23rd and 24th April at Beehama chowk.
Accordingly, a case FIR No.58/2021 U/S 457,380 IPC was registered in PS Ganderbal and investigation was intiaited.
During the course of investigation, Srinagar Police shared a specific information that Batamaloo Police Station has learnt about three suspicious vendors selling electronic appliances on cheap rates. While enquiring into the circumstances, the officers discovered that the items being put to sale were proceeds of a criminal acts and were decamped from an electronic store in Ganderbal.
Accordingly Ganderbal Police constituted a team headed by SHO PS Ganderbal under the supervision of DySP HQRs Ganderbal for effecting the arrest of accused burglars identified as: 01.Hashim Iqbal Sofi S/O Mohd Iqbal Sofi, 02.Raheel Hassan Sheikh S/O Mohd Hussain Sheikh 03.Suhaib Shafi all residents of Saloora Ganderbal
Stolen property recovered from the accused individuals was also seized in the matter.
