Ganderbal 17 Oct (KNZ): To eradicate the menace of Drug abuse prevalent in the society and taking stringent action against the Drug Peddlers, Ganderbal Police today during routine Naka checking arrested a Drug Peddler at Iqbal Abad Kangan under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan.
The person was identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Jagal S/o. Nazir Ahmad Jagal R/O Naranag, Kangan. During his search, contraband substance was recovered, which was seized on the spot and the accused was taken into the Police custody.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 170/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at PS Kangan and further investigation was taken up.
Ganderbal Police is committed to eradicate the deadly menace of Drugs from the district and such action will continue in future and general public is appealed to cooperate with Police by way of sharing inputs related to drug peddling so that appropriate action can be initiated against the drug peddlers.KNZ
