Ganderbal:Continuing its drive against the drug smuggling, Ganderbal Police today effected the recovery of 1.5kg of charas after arrested a drug peddler.
A Police Party of Police Station Safapora led by SHO Safapora Inspector Salfie Arshid under the supervision of SSP Ganderbal Shri.Khalil poswal(JKPS) after receiving a specific information regarding supplying of drug consignment in the jurisdiction of Police station Safapora laid a special naka at Mirabad and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK15-3597 which was driven by one person namely Bilal Ahmed Sheikh s/o Gulam Mohiudin sheikh r/o Markundal Hajin and after course of checking Police party recovered 1.5kgs of charas like substance from his possession.The said person was arrested on spot alongwith his vehicle.
In this regard,a case FIR No.02/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police station Safapora and investigation started and more arrests are expected.
