Ganderbal:In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested a notorious Drug Peddler and recovered Contraband Substance from his possession.
During naka checking by a Police Party of PS Kheerbawani at Theeru, one pedestrian namely Mohd Aarif Khan S/O Noor Mohd Khan R/O Theeru was stopped & during his personal search, (Contraband Substance) 30 Grams Charas and 4.5 Kg’s of Bangpatri was recovered. The recovered Contraband Substance was seized on the spot and the accused was taken into Police custody.
During further investigation, the accused disclosed that he has kept more Contraband Substance at the residential house of another accused at Takiebal Ganderbal.
The Said house was searched in presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class & more 11 Kg’s of Bangpatri (Contraband Substance) was seized on the spot. Efforts are being taken to apprehend the other accused as well.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 51/2024, under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Kheerbawani and investigation has been taken up.
It is requested that anybody from the general public who has information regarding drug Peddling in the area to come forward & share the information. Ganderbal Police assures complete anonymity of the informer.
