Ganderbal 13 Feb:To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against Drug Peddlers, Ganderbal Police apprehended Two Drug Peddlers alongwith Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of PS Kangan & PS Lar.
In Continuation to Case FIR No. 12/2023, On the Directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, SHO PS Kangan Insp. Zahoor Turk, under the supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS set investigation into the motion.
While Questioning, the accused held in the above mentioned FIR No. Confessed that one person namely Sameer Gul Nayik S/O Gh Mohd Nayik R/O Gadoora Ganderbal is illegally occupying huge Contraband Substance at his home.
Acting Swiftly, Ganderbal Police raided the said house in presence of Ist Class Magistrate Ganderbal.
While searching the house of the accused, huge quantity of Contraband Substance, Cannabis Powder was recovered & Seized on the spot.
Further, the accused got arrest in the same Case FIR No. i.e, 12/23 registered at PS Kangan & further investigation has been taken up.
Moreover, SHO Lar Gulzar Ahmad Under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS laid Naka at SKUAST road Benhama & one person namely Shams u din Khan S/O Bahdur Khan R/O Benhama Lar, who was coming from Old road Benhama towards Wuder Benhama via SKUAST road in a suspicious condition was apprehended.
During his personal search huge quantity of charas like Contraband Substance was recovered, Seized & the accused got arrest. In this regard, Case FIR No.10/2023 was registered in PS Lar and investigation taken up.
The swift action by Ganderbal Police has been applauded by the general public. The Strict & legal action against Drug Peddlers will continue in future also. People are requested to co-operate with J&K Police in fighting the dreadful menace of Drugs.
