Ganderbal, Mar 15: Acting swiftly upon a specific information regarding gambling in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora, Ganderbal Police constituted a team from Police Post Shadipora led by I/C PP Shadipora, Sub Inspector Gulzar Ahmad under the supervision of DySP HQRs Ganderbal which raided the place of gambling at Narayan Bagh and arrested two persons.
The accused persons were identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar, S/O Gull Dar, R/O Lathi Authkhroo; Ghulam Rasool Gulla, S/O Ghulam Nabi Gulla, R/O Narayan Bagh.
Stake money of Rs/- 15,500 and deck of playing cards were also recovered on spot.
In this connection, Case FIR Number 34/2021 U/S 13 Gambling Act stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation is in progress.
Police has requested Community members to extend cooperation to the Police and come forward with such information so that such anti-social crimes could be curbed.
