Safapora:Continuing its war against drug menace, Ganderbal police arrested one dreaded drug peddler. As per details, under the overall guidance of Sr. Superintendent of Police District Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad PoswaI-JKPS, and under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganderbal Shri S M Shafi-JKPS
A Police party led by SHO Safapora Shri SI Sajad Khanday apprehended one dreaded drug peddler namely Maqsood Ahmad Ganaie alias Sooda S/O Mohammad Maqbool Ganaie resident of Wakura Ganderbal while carrying a contraband of huge quantity of NDPS drugs at Dollar Mode Safapora. Arrest of the peddler could be made possible only after persistent efforts.
A case FIR No. 12/2020 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act, has been lodged against the culprit at P/S Safapora & further investigation has been set into motion. The peddler was active in the district for a pretty long time and was highly motivated and infamous drug smuggler. His arrest has exercised a big impact on drug mafia.
General public has hailed the act of police against drug Mafia and the arrest of the peddler has sent down a clear message about the intentions of the Police against drug menace which has been involving and spoiling our youth at a horrific pace. This arrest is the fourth arrest of drug peddlers during the last 25 days. The process of rounding up drug mafia in the district is still on and there are certain more arrests expected in the coming days.
