Ganderbal: In order to Commemorate Police Martyrs, Ganderbal Police today organised “ Martyrs Police Premier League Volleyball Tournament” at DPL Ganderbal under the banner of Community Action Program in which 16 teams of different Institutions of District Ganderbal will participate.
The tournament was inaugurated by Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yeyha-JKPS accompanied by DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS.
During his address Addl.SP Ganderbal appreciated all the teams for taking part in the sports event. He also stressed upon the young players of the District to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of sports.
The inaugural match was played between Dream Land Hr. Sec. School Ganderbal Vs Qamariya Model School Ganderbal, which was won by Dream Land Hr. Sec. School by 2:0.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ganderbal Police is organising different sports, cultural and educational events like Volleyball, Cricket tournaments, essay competition, cultural programmes, Marathon and other co-curricular activities in the District for ten days long period. These different events will culminate on 31st October 2022.
Principal Govt Girls HSS Ganderbal Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Peer and District Treasury Officer Dr Sarir-JKAS graced the occasion as Guest of honour. Other senior officers of Police and Civil Departments were also present on the said occasion.KNZ
