GANDERBAL 28 Oct (KNZ): Due to inclement weather at zojilla, the road surface had turned extremely slippery causing one truck to skid and block the highway during yesterday late night hours.
On the directions of worthy SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Police Party at Police Station Sonamarg, under the supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS started a rescue operation and the Police Party under the supervision of SHO Sonamarg managed to reach the spot along with a Hydra Crane from a Private contractor and cleared the road yesterday late night at 0130 hours.
But due to slippery road, the traffic could not move.Police Party Sonamarg stayed there and again started rescue operation today early in the morning.
Now, It is requested to all who intend to travel on Sonamarg kargil road to first verify the road conditions from PCR Ganderbal. The helplines are mentioned below:
